Porcelain Veneers
A Veneer is a very thin yet a strong restorative tile placed over a tooth to improve aesthetics or protect an already damaged surface. Veneers are indicated for poor colored teeth, teeth with crack lines, chipped/broken teeth and to improve shape. Sometimes veneers can be an alternative to crowns, cosmetic contouring or orthodontics. Special composites and dental porcelain (ceramics) usually make up a veneer. A composite veneer can be artfully made by the dentist, directly on a tooth or indirectly made by a dental technician in a dental lab. A porcelain veneer can only be indirectly fabricated. It would later be bonded to the tooth using special resin cement.
